The good weather has finally arrived, and it’s making a grand entrance! Which is reminding us all that the holidays are getting closer and that outdoor plans for enjoying nature are just what we need. Keep reading to find out about the greenest and most stunning vistas that you can enjoy from Andorra’s viewpoints.

The Tristaina solar viewpoint

To visit Andorra’s newest viewpoint, you need to head to the Ordino-Arcalís resort, an outstanding natural setting for hiking routes of all levels.
Getting to the viewpoint is very easy and accessible to almost everyone. All you need to do is take the Tristaina cable car followed by the Creussans chairlift. After getting off the chairlift, there is one last stretch that takes about 15 minutes on foot. Or, if you’re up for the challenge, you can walk the whole way and enjoy a beautiful hiking trail that takes about 2 hours.
The Tristaina solar viewpoint is located on the peak of Peyreguils at an altitude of 2,700 metres, it consists of a circular platform with a diameter of 25 metres and a 27-metre long pole that acts like a sundial telling the time on the platform. From the viewpoint you can see the group of Tristaina lakes, the Ordino valley and the natural border between Andorra and France.
It opened last year and is one of the new attractions that will undoubtedly be a great success again this summer. You simply can’t miss it.

The Roc del Quer in Canillo

From this viewpoint, you’ll be able to admire spectacular panoramic views of the Montaup valley while also being able to see some of the principality’s highest peaks.
Getting up there is also very easy and accessible to everyone. Just take the Coll d’Ordino road (if you start the journey from Ordino) or the Mountaup road (if you start from Canillo). This mountain pass alone is a visual treat with its spectacular scenery. Once you reach the height of the viewpoint, which is not at the side of the road, you will only have to walk a little way until you reach a spectacular 20-metre walkway. The last 12 metres are suspended in the air and will make you feel as if you are flying over the valley. At the end of the walkway is an impressive sculpture of a thinking man looking out over the breathtaking views.
This is undoubtedly one of the most unique and popular viewpoints in Andorra, establishing itself as a must-see at any time of the year. If you still haven’t visited it, make the most of the good summer weather and head up to Canillo to check it out. And if you’ve already been, you’re probably keen to repeat the experience.
