A little part of you probably wants to go back to work, to the routine. After two weeks of celebrating, feasting and long dinners with the family, your body is begging for a break and to get back to normal again. So let’s get to it! Whether you’re lucky enough to be returning from a holiday, or you’re just recovering after the Christmas festivities, we’ve prepared some tips to make settling back in to the daily routine a pleasure!

Listen to your body!

After so many days of indulgence, your body is crying out for healthy food. Consider taking a detox week: drink a lot of water, eat fruit and, if you enjoy experimenting, you can try souping! This diet is a favourite of celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie, and is based on including pure vegetable soups and creams into your diet which will help you to feel satiated and consume less calories. Let your imagination run wild or simply try using soups that include broccoli, carrot, miso and watercress or lentils. In just a few days you’ll be able to purify your whole body.

Don’t forget the exercise…

It’s one of the resolutions that we all make at the start of the year, right? This year, I’ll hit the gym! Take our advice and set a more concrete goal, for instance: this year I will go running for half an hour every day. Or perhaps, in 2019 I will book a zumba class every Tuesday. Setting more specific goals makes it easier to integrate them seamlessly into your routine and improves your chances of success.

Care for your skin

Our skin says a lot about us, about our mood, and about how we feel. Whatever your age, your skin needs a basic cleansing and care routine. Never forget to wash your face in the morning and at night, and never go to bed with a dirty complexion or with makeup on. Maintain proper hydration and nourishment with creams, gels or serums (depending on your skin type), and remember that moisturisation shouldn’t come from cosmetic products alone: drink at least 2 litres of water a day. You’ll notice that it gives you that radiant look!
