Caldea renovation: more nature, comfort and wellness

At Caldea, we’re always evolving to bring you the ultimate in wellness. This spring, we’re taking another step forward in our transformation project with the redesign of the outdoor lagoon, one of our spa’s most iconic areas. And that’s not all: we’re also renovating the spa entrances and beginning work on our tower hotel. Want to know more about what’s coming soon to Caldea? Read on.

A new concept for open-air thermal lagoons

Our outdoor lagoon will reopen in late June with a completely refreshed look. The new design expands the pool area, giving you more space to swim and relax, while also adding native vegetation to create a natural environment that will literally immerse you in a real high-mountain lake. We wanted to bring nature even closer to our thermal experience, creating a unique ecosystem that blends the city with the landscape.

We will also be adding hydromassage beds and building a water bar where you can enjoy smoothies, flavoured waters, soft drinks or a glass of champagne without getting out of the water. Everything has been designed to ensure that every moment you spend with us is special.

We’re also renovating the spa entrances

The experience begins with the first step, so we’re also going to renovate the foot bath – the entrance by foot to the spa – as well as refurbishing the changing rooms with new bathrooms and showers in a minimalist style. And we haven’t forgotten the finer details: we’re adding new water features in our hydromassage tubs to surprise you and offer fresh sensations every time you visit.

Coming soon, a hotel with views of the Andorran sky!

We’re also thrilled to share another major milestone with you: the start of construction on the adults-only hotel in the Caldea tower. Work will begin this spring with the installation of an impressive crane and a mobile belt-like structure that will move up and down the tower to replace its entire glass exterior. This is one of the most complex projects ever carried out in southern Europe and will be key to ensuring the thermal and sound insulation of the new rooms.

The new hotel will feature 39 double rooms and is scheduled to open in mid-2026. Designed for those who love to relax and disconnect, this exclusive accommodation concept is perfect for anyone seeking a complete spa, relaxation and wellness experience without leaving Caldea.

A great team behind the project

To make this transformation a reality, we have drawn on the talent of several technical and creative teams. The redesign of the outdoor lagoon is being led by DATA Arquitectura and LUV Studio, specialists in contemporary design and environmental integration. The project is also being supported by the expertise of SIMBIOSI Studio, which is responsible for the landscaping, and ANOCHE, the studio behind the lighting design that is sure to amaze you when you next visit Caldea at night.

The technical and construction aspects are being handled by companies such as SUPORT Enginyers, r3e, PGI Engineering & Consulting and Fluidra, an international leader in wellness solutions. The construction of the lagoon is being managed by Construccions Modernes, an Andorran firm with a proven track record.

Furthermore, the hotel project will benefit from the involvement of companies such as LUCERGLASS, HIBERLUX, ULMA, EUROGRUAS and others, who will help to shape this highly complex and specialised construction project.

We want you to be part of this evolution too!

As we progress with this major transformation, we encourage you to continue enjoying everything Caldea already has to offer: thermal waters, spa treatments, shows, entertainment and culinary experiences in our restaurants. And if you’re planning a getaway, remember to browse our special offers including hotel accommodation or our gift experiences.

We hope to see you soon so you can experience this new phase with us. Because at Caldea, your wellness is always at the heart of everything we do.
