A thermal getaway to Caldea with a springtime feel

A spring getaway to Caldea: relaxation, thermal waters and time to disconnect in Andorra

As spring arrives, we feel the need to revitalise ourselves, to leave the harsh winter months behind and savour a few moments of serenity before summer gets into full swing. If there’s one place that perfectly combines disconnecting, wellness and entertainment, it’s Caldea: the leading destination for anyone after a unique getaway, where water takes centre stage and every visit is a one-of-a-kind experience.

Reasons to visit Caldea in spring

March and April are unquestionably some of the best months to discover everything Caldea has to offer. The weather’s warming up, the days are growing longer and Andorra explodes with colour as spring arrives. It’s also the perfect opportunity to get in some last-minute skiing in the mornings and relax in the thermal waters in the evenings, a winning combination that makes this such a special destination.

And there’s also another reason to visit before Easter: the Classic and Plus facilities will be closed for improvement and maintenance work from 7 April to 2 July. This partial closure, which only affects these two types of access, means that during this period the Essential admission will be available. This special option, for over-16s, lets you indulge in a spa experience that focuses on relaxation and complete disconnection as you enjoy Caldea’s adults-only spa facilities.

Enjoy Classic, Plus and Premium until 6 April

Until the temporary closure takes effect on 6 April, Caldea is offering three main ways to access its facilities, with each designed to meet different needs.

Classic admission is the perfect choice for families and mixed groups. With access to the Grand Lagoon, the Icelandic baths and the outdoor space with stunning mountain views, this type of admission delivers a well-rounded experience that combines fun and relaxation. It’s ideal for families, as it includes spaces that cater to all tastes and admits guests aged 5 and over.

Plus admission provides a more complete experience with access to additional spaces, such as the grapefruit baths and more intimate relaxation areas. Perfect for anyone looking for a balance between fun and wellness, featuring more peaceful spaces where you can relax between visits to the baths. Access is restricted to visitors aged 12 and over.

Premium admission, available to guests aged 16 and over, is our most exclusive experience. Along with all the amenities that are part of Classic and Plus, it also includes access to spaces that are reserved exclusively for adults, where peace and quiet are the order of the day. With flip-flops, a towel and a bathrobe provided, as well as wellness workshops (mindfulness and Tibetan singing bowls), this option is the way to go for couples and anyone seeking a luxurious experience.

Essential admission: a new way to experience Caldea

During the closure of the Classic and Plus facilities, Caldea is opening up Essential access, intended exclusively for over-16s. This three-hour admission includes rental of all bathing essentials (flip-flops, towel and bathrobe) and grants access to the three-level indoor lagoon, the bubble beds, the outdoor lagoon with a central waterfall, the ice cabin, the chromatic sauna with a salt wall, the exfoliating showers and the aquatic bar. A pure wellness experience, free from any rush or distractions.

Plans to combine with your visit to Caldea until Easter

  • Admission + Restaurant: fine dining and wellness

One of our most popular options is pairing the thermal experience with a culinary one. Caldea has two of its own restaurants: Blu, which specialises in Mediterranean cuisine, and Siam Shiki, which serves an array of Thai-Japanese dishes that will transport your senses to the other side of the world.

Our offers combine Classic or Premium admission with special set menus. For example, Classic admission with dinner at the Blu restaurant starts at 63 euros per person, making it the perfect choice for a special evening. For true foodies, Premium admission with a Thai-Japanese set menu at Siam Shiki delivers an unrivalled culinary and wellness experience.

  • Complete getaway including hotel and Classic admission

For anyone after a weekend getaway, Caldea has packages that include spa admission and hotel stays in various categories. The options range from the 3* Hotel Espel to the 5* Blackpine Andorra, not to mention the 4* Mola Park, which is directly opposite Caldea, and the 4* Eureka, which is conveniently located in the city centre.

The Classic admission + Espel 3* offer starts at €86 per person, an accessible option that lets you enjoy a complete getaway. For those who prefer a premium experience with higher-end hotels, prices start at €109 per person.

  • The YCE show: magic on the water

One of Caldea’s biggest attractions is its new show, YCE, a visual spectacle that transform ice with movement. Featuring acrobatics, original music, lighting and water effects, YCE invites you to immerse yourself in a vibrant and unforgettable experience.

The show is free to all visitors with Classic, Plus or Premium admission, and is performed in three different formats depending on the day you visit. Until 27 March, you can see the reduced version of YCE, featuring an acrobat on an aerial hoop and sling, plus lighting and water effects. Over Easter, the extended YCE will be performed on 2 April at 9:40 p.m., from 3 to 5 April at 11:40 a.m. and 9:40 p.m., and on 6 April at 11:40 a.m. It’s the perfect way to complement your spa day and make your visit a complete experience. Check the schedule for the YCE show.

Make the most of your spring break in Andorra

Despite the ski season coming to an end on 6 April with the closure of the slopes, Andorra still has plenty of activities in store for spring. During these months, the Principality boasts a wide variety of ways to enjoy your getaway. You can go walking through nature and explore hiking trails, spend an afternoon doing some retail therapy in the shopping areas, or sample some seasonal cuisine. You can even check out the music festivals.

And the best part is that you can cap off the experience with some time to disconnect at the spa.

Closure of the Classic and Plus facilities

The temporary closure, from 7 April to 2 July, only affects the Classic and Plus facilities, as improvement and maintenance work is due to be carried out. This type of activity is essential to ensure our high standards of quality and to continue providing an excellent service.

But remember, in the meantime, Caldea’s Adults-Only Spa will keep things going so you can still enjoy Caldea, albeit in a more intimate and smaller setting.

Work will also continue on the upcoming hotel that will be located in the Caldea tower. If you’d like to learn more about the project, you can find more information here.

All the spas reopen on 3 July (and we’ll continue to serve you)

All our facilities will be fully operational again on 3 July, kicking off a new summer season with improvements and new features that will further enhance the experience.

In the meantime, we’re continuing to work to bring you attractive options to ensure that your trip to Andorra at this time of year is a special one.

Tips for planning your thermal spa getaway

  • Plan your schedule well

Careful planning is key if you want to make the most of your day. Choosing the right time to visit can make all the difference, as the early morning hours are usually more peaceful, whereas the middle of the day tends to be busier, particularly at weekends or during the Easter holidays.

  • Consider your priorities when planning

You can also tailor your visit to suit the kind of getaway you have in mind. If you’re after a more active day, you could start with a hike or outdoor activity and save Caldea for later. Or alternatively, if you’d rather focus on the thermal waters and treatments, you can organise your whole stay around the spa and add on complementary services.

  • Booking in advance is the way to go

Another thing to keep in mind is booking in advance, whether it’s for admission, massages, treatments or the restaurant, as places are limited. This means you can make sure there’s availability and plan your schedule more effectively without any last-minute surprises.
