An afternoon at the museum<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Since September, this gallery has been home to a new exhibition: Influencers in art. From Van Goyen to Pop Art.
\nThe Carmen Thyssen Museum Andorra takes visitors on a journey through time with pieces by different artists that are unintentionally related to one other. A total of 24 paintings and 3 sculptures allow art lovers to appreciate the talents of Jan Josefsz. van Goyen, Auguste Rodin and many others.
\nSince 2017, the Carmen Thyssen Museum Andorra has hosted 4 temporary exhibitions from collector and philanthropist Carmen Cervera who, for a year at a time, has been putting different pieces from her private collection on show to the general public… and even to children! On an almost weekly basis, the museum organises activities to help bring art closer to kids, making this the perfect activity for couples, groups of friends and also families.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Iconic location<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

The Carmen Thyssen Museum Andorra and Caldea have something very important in common: thermal water. The gallery is housed in a historic building in Escaldes-Engordany: the Hostal Valira. This hotel was constructed in the 30s to take advantage of the properties of the thermal water which flows naturally into the town, and it wasn\u2019t the only one. During the 20th century, other hotels were built for the same reason, and some of the buildings from that era are still standing today. We suggest exploring the area around the museum to discover some of the principality\u2019s little known spots. You’re sure to bump into more than one pleasant surprise 😉. <\/span><\/p>\n
